Our Team
The ‘Aqua’ team are dedicated to looking after all the swimmers that join the swimming lesson programme. Our swimming teachers and coaches are recruited
from a variety of different backgrounds including competitive swimmers,
former competitive swimmers, school teachers and parents.
Our teachers undergo regular training under the ASA to ensure that our swimmers improve as effectively as possible.
Marcus Branson

Marcus has over twenty years of experience in swimming teaching and as an ASA Club Coach concentrates on the development of competitive swimmers. He joined his first swimming club aged 8 and went on to swim at Millfield School under Coach Paddy Garratt.
Karen Caller
Swimming Co-ordinator

Karen joined the Aqua team in April 2004 as a level 1 Instructor. She has since achieved the level 2 qualification and the NRASTC lifesaving award.
Karen is an active member of the Royal Navy Reserves and participates in Sea Survival Courses and marine Search and Rescue exercises.
Karen's new role from November 2005 is Swimming Co-ordinator and will be responsible for the operation of Aqua Swimming's lesson programme, customer support and team supervisor.
Mark Horne (Senior Instructor)
Mark joined the 'Aqua' team in 2001 as an Assistant Teacher and has now progressed to the ASA level 2 status. Mark is a keen sportsman and regularly competes in Triathlons both in the UK and abroad.
Sara Foster (Senior Instructor)
Simon Killick
Simon has gained the level 2 teaching certificate and joined the 'Aqua' team in 2004. Simon is developing his interest in swimming and more recently is concentrating more of his time as a swimming teacher.
Julie Curling
Julie was recruited to the 'Aqua' team in 2004. She has much experience in swimming teaching at primary school level. Julie became a qualified level 2 Instructor in December 2005.
