    Aqua Swimming (established in 1993) provides 'high-quality' private swimming tuition and coaching for pre-school children, young swimmers and competitive swimmers at heated indoor swimming pools in Sevenoaks (Kent) and Pembury (Tunbridge Wells, Kent).

Australian swimmer Dawn Fraser startled the Japanese at Tokyo when she climbed the flagpole at the emperor's palace to take the flag as a souvenir! She paid a heavy price for this misdemeanor as she was banned for 10 years. The ban was later reduced to four years. (Indianinfo)

Walthamstow Hall, Sevenoaks

Walthamstow Hall is located in Holly Bush Lane, Sevenoaks. Enter school grounds via the lower gate and park in any of the spaces either side of that entrance.
From the car park walk between The Ship Theatre and the main building and carry straight on keeping Salmon Wing on your left. At the eastern (playing field) end of Salmon Wing the path will bear round to the right and will lead you to the entrance to the pool building.


Pool: 25m  x 12m
Ave Temp: 29 C
Depth: shallow end 1.0m, deep end 1.8m

Session times: Mondays:  5.30 – 7.30pm
6.15 – 7.15pm (Swimming Club)
11.15am to 2.30pm

Changing Rooms

Changing cubicles are provided along with toilet and shower facilities.


There is a limited amount of space to view the lesson programme from the foyer in the swimming pool building.  Parents/carers are respectfully asked to keep control of young children in this area.


Floats, play equipment and other buoyancy aids are provided. Swimmers must provide their own swimming costume and towel. Goggles may be worn but must be properly adjusted before the commencement of the lesson.


A swimming hat will be given to each swimmer on the Aqua Swimming programme.  The colour of hat indicates the Stage at which a swimmer is working on, as follows:
Navy: Pre-school,Beginner 1 & 2
Red: Intermediate 1 & 2
Green: Improver 1
Royal Blue: Improver 2
Pale Blue: Improver 3
Navy: Aqua Swimming Club
When a swimmer moves to a different Stage, they will be given a differrent coloured hat if appropriate.
Swimming hats must be worn by all swimmers during the swimming lessons.
